What to pack for a winter stay in Alta
Mt Haldde (October) — Started with light hiking pants, ended up adding a merino layer at the top!
Alta gets seriously cold in winter, with temperatures swinging between –25 °C and –5 °C. Staying comfortable is all about layering up:
merino or thermal base layers
a warm fleece or wool mid-layer
a waterproof, insulated parka
