We live in Sitges, Spain, so this list isn't pulled from a search engine. We only included hotels that are consistently well reviewed by our friends or that we personally visited or stayed at.
One thing worth saying upfront: Sitges is one of the most LGBTQ+-friendly towns in Europe, and every hotel below openly welcomes gay travelers. It's not a separate category here, it's just the baseline. If you specifically want to be walking distance from Sin Street and the gay beach at Bassa Rodona, we've flagged which picks put you closest.

Luxury and 5-star
Our favorite “cala” is a 20-minute walk from the Eurostars
Eurostars Sitges (formerly Dolce by Wyndham Sitges Barcelona)
Sitges' original 5-star resort, rebranded from Dolce by Wyndham to Eurostars in 2023, though you'll still see it listed under both names depending on where you search. It sits next to Terramar Golf Club rather than in the town itself, with multiple pools, a proper spa, and several restaurants. It’s also a 20-minute walk away (through a pine forest) from our favorite calas, between Sitges and Vilanova. A free shuttle runs to the beach and the gay bars in summer, so you're not cut off from the action, just removed from the noise of it. Best for travelers who want a resort experience with a car, or who don't mind the shuttle. It's not the only 5-star in town, ME Sitges Terramar carries the same rating and sits directly on the beach (see Beachfront below).
Sabàtic Sitges, Autograph Collection
A newer 4-star superior addition, part of Marriott's Autograph Collection. All 90 rooms are suites with sea-view terraces, and the hotel leans into a relaxed, unhurried feel with two pools, a restaurant, and an open-air cinema in summer. About a 10-minute walk from the center, a good middle ground between the resort feel of Eurostars and a walkable town-center stay. Keep an eye open as you walk around: we’ve seen wild boars exploring this newly developed part of town!

URH Sitges Playa
Sits directly on Platja de Sant Sebastià, one of the most central and calmest beaches in town, with the old town and church as a backdrop. A straightforward, well-run beach hotel rather than a design property (although they revamped the whole place during COVID and did a fab job), and a strong pick for couples and families who want to walk out the door onto the sand. We used to live just across the street from this one, and the staff really are as friendly as the reviews say. We had several friends staying here, and they all had a great time.
ME Sitges Terramar
Also rated 5-star, and unlike Eurostars Sitges, this one sits right on the sand at the Terramar end of the promenade, with a private beach area, a chiringuito, a roof-top bar (fancy) and water sports on site. This location also happens to be the easiest starting point if you want to walk or kayak toward the wilder calas past Platja del Home Mort, covered in our Sitges beaches guide.

Hotel Subur Maritim
On the seafront promenade with views over the water and the old town. A classic, reliable choice if you want to be steps from the boardwalk without paying resort prices. Note that there's a similarly named sister hotel nearby (Hotel Subur), but it’s a different property.
Hotel Port Sitges
Set inside the Aiguadolç marina, a short drive from the town center, with a seasonal pool and balconies looking over the harbor, the old town and Balmins beach. A good fit if you like the idea of waking up near boats and want a quieter stretch of coast than the central beaches. Our friends stayed there and were surprised by the value considering the view. Meliá Sitges
Admittedly not the best-looking hotel from the outside! Near the Aiguadolç marina as well, about a five-minute walk from Platja dels Balmins, Sitges' inclusive nude beach. A bigger resort-style property with over 300 rooms, a pool, and golf nearby, better suited to travelers who want resort amenities over walkable proximity to the old town. Great for groups and corporate events too. In October, they host the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival and you might see a celebrity or two!
Hotel Calipolis
Right on the Passeig Marítimo in the center of town, close to the gay beach at Bassa Rodona, with sea-view rooms and a terrace looking straight out over the Mediterranean. This is where we spent our wedding night (they gave a free suite upgrade when they saw us in our wedding clothes!), and we still go back for breakfast in low season. One of the more central beachfront options if you want to be in the middle of things.

Sunway Playa Golf & Spa Sitges
A 4-star hotel and apartment complex right on the sand next to Terramar Golf Club, with both standard rooms and apartments with kitchens, useful if you want more space or plan to self-cater. Multiple pools, a spa, bike rentals, and its own small supermarket on site. A good base if you want to explore the calas between Sitges and Vilanova.
Hotel Celimar
A small, modernist hotel directly across from the beach in the old town, right by Santa Tecla church. No pool or restaurant, but most rooms have sea views and a terrace, and you're steps from the town's restaurants and bars. A good pick if location and character matter more than hotel amenities.

Alenti Sitges Hotel & Restaurant
A small, design-forward, super gay-friendly boutique hotel right in the heart of town, on Sin Street itself, which makes it one of the best-located options if the LGBTQ+ nightlife scene is part of why you're visiting. Modern, minimalist rooms, a well-regarded restaurant downstairs, and genuinely good soundproofing given the location.
Hotel Casa Vilella
This 4* sup. hotel could also be in the “luxury” section. A restored Noucentista mansion designed by an architect who trained under Gaudí, at the quieter end of the seafront promenade. Fourteen rooms, a pool, terrace gardens, and the kind of architectural character that makes the building itself the main event. We have friends who've stayed here and let us come look around, and it's definitely our favorite hotel in Sitges.
Hotel El Xalet
A 19th-century villa with original stained glass and mosaic floors, restored rather than modernized away. The seasonal restaurant (June to September) is one of our own go-to spots for dinner in summer, even when we're not staying the night. About ten minutes on foot from the beach. Book well in advance, as we’re not the only ones who have a sweet spot for this place!
Sitges Royal Rooms
A restored 19th-century mansion on a street built by Sitges locals who made their fortunes in Cuba and came home to build grand houses, part of a small block of similar mansions. Just nine rooms plus an apartment, each named after an opera, with breakfast served in the lush garden from April to October. We love going for breakfast there ourselves. A three-minute walk from the train station and about ten minutes from the beach.
Budget and good value
Hotel Medium Romàntic is a hotel with a soul
Platjador
Central, on the beach, and consistently one of the best-reviewed hotels in Sitges at any price point, which is unusual for something this affordable. A smart first pick if value matters as much as location.
Hotel Medium Sitges Park
A solid mid-range option with a lovely garden (we celebrated our friends’ anniversary there), well located for walking everywhere, with reliably good reviews on cleanliness and staff.

Hotel El Cid
An old-school, no-frills favorite five minutes from both the beach and the train station. Simple rooms, a small pool, and the kind of long-running, well-run budget hotel that keeps guests coming back year after year.
Hotel Medium Romàntic
Two restored 19th-century modernist villas in the historic center, with a garden that's one of the most charming corners of town and a collection of art in the common areas. We've toured the building ourselves during Catalonia's heritage open-days, when historic properties like this one open their doors to visitors. Five minutes from the beach and the train station. More character than most budget picks, without the price tag of the boutique hotels above.
Hotel Galeon
A reliable 3-star close to the center, with an extensive breakfast. We've had a friend stay here who came back raving about how friendly the staff were, the kind of small, personal touch that doesn't always come through in listings. They still send him an email for his birthday 3 years later!
Quiet and adults-only
Ibersol Antemare
An adults-only hotel tucked into a quiet residential pocket of Sitges, just a couple of minutes' walk from the beach but far enough from the center to feel calm. A good fit for couples who want to be near the water without the noise of the seafront or Sin Street. I always found the colors of the balconies to be cool — they remind me of South Beach in Miami!
